A porch. Two white rocking chairs. Two white, thick, ceramic mugs filled to the brim with Starbucks Breakfast Blend coffee. A faint playing of jazz in the background, on good outdoor speakers. A ceiling fan whirling above. And two people: me and someone else. And as someone else talks, I listen with my ears and pray in my heart. And when it’s my turn to talk, I’ve already sought God on what to say next (’cause He always knows what to say). And when me & someone else don’t know what to say, we simply stop to pray. And when someone else leaves the porch, they are more encouraged then when they walked up. And consequently, so am I. Now that’s a porch made in heaven.
